Donald Lloyd Varey

A paragraph to describe Donald Varey…not a chance.  Words cannot do justice to what Don meant to his family, friends and fellow firefighters.  Don’s love for the job was as apparent on the day he was hired as the day he retired.  He loved a good fire call.  Don’s sacrifices as a firefighter were many, as he endured serious injuries, loss of coworkers, missed holidays and family events.  Through it all he endured and was an inspiration to his fellow firefighters.  To his family, Don was the steadying rock, the life of the party and a shoulder to cry on.  Don’s wife Lynn, his children Chris and Shelley, and his grandchildren Aneesa, Madison, Bryn, Mari and Sarah will always remember Don and cherish the time they had with him.  Don is joining his brother David Varey and best friend David Judge on the CFFF Memorial.  To some he was Don, Dad, Poppa or Shovel, and no matter what we called you, we love and miss you.
