Story
Darell Ezra Parker was a devoted family man and a dedicated public servant in the Town of Ingersoll and Oxford County. Darell dedicated over three decades of service to the Ingersoll Fire and Emergency Services, including 23 years as Fire Chief for the Town of Ingersoll and 12 years as Fire Chief for the Township of Norwich. As the Town's longest serving fire chief, he worked to ensure the safety and well-being of his fellow citizens.
Darell, a long-standing Rotarian, embodied the Rotary motto “service above self” not only in the fire service but also in his community involvement through his volunteer work with various local organizations, boards, and fundraising initiatives. Darell was a recipient of the Federal Exemplary Service Medal, the Ontario Long Service Medal, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal and the King Charles III Coronation Medal. His legacy continues to inspire and uplift those who knew him.
