Welcome to the 23rd Canadian Firefighter Memorial Ceremony (2026)

The 2026 Canadian Firefighter Memorial Ceremony will be held in Ottawa at the Canadian Firefighter Memorial on the 13th of September at 10:30 AM.

We are proud to announce that ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Brampton Fire and Emergency Services will be the Honorary Host for 2026 which will be the second time that they have taken this on (2009) and we appreciate everything they do for the Foundation and the Fallen.

Schedule Of Events

Friday, September 11th – City of Ottawa Fire Services Memorial

City Hall, 110 Laurier Ave. The ceremony begins at 12:00 pm. The Ottawa Fire Services invites all visiting Fire Service members to attend the annual memorial in recognition of Ottawa Fire Service members who have passed away since September 2025 to present. Visitors may wear dress uniforms.

Friday, September 11th – Fire Fighters Cycle in Support of CFFF

The Toronto Professional Fire Fighters Celtic Society Memorial Ride to Ottawa invite you to join them at the CFFF Memorial, 200 Lett Street to welcome Canadian firefighters who have cycled over 550 kms in three days from Hamilton to Ottawa as a fundraiser for the CFFF. Their estimated time of arrival at the memorial is 4:30pm.

Saturday, September 12th - Ceremony Briefing and Headdress Party Rehearsal 9:30 am.

Located at the intersection of Lett St. and the Kichi Zībī Mīkan Parkway (formerly Sir John A. MacDonald [GM1] Parkway) on LeBreton Flats. The following Fire Service members are encouraged to attend:

Pints and Pipers – Saturday evening, September 12th

Please join us at the Royal Oak, 180 Kent St. as the pipers and drummers perform on the patio with families and firefighters from across Canada.
