George Cole the embodiment of courage and unwavering service was the very spirit of the Fire Service he was so proud to represent.  Standing 6’ 6” with a commanding presence George was a larger-than-life man whose heart was even bigger. A proud Firefighter for 42 years, he lived and breathed the oath of service, dedicating his life to protecting others through his work with the Kennebecasis Fire Department, as well as, as a medic with the Saint John Regional ambulance service.  Respected for his strength, leadership and calm under pressure, George was deeply known for his kindness, humour and fierce devotion to his family, friends and community.  Whether saving lives, mentoring others, carving wood, cooking for those he loved or simply making people feel safe in his presence, George left an unforgettable mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.  His legacy is one of bravery, resilience and love.
