John Graham

John Graham (1954 – 2025)

John Graham, of Kleinburg, Ontario, passed away from occupational cancer on May 30, 2025.  

A man of immense humility, integrity and courage, John spent his life serving his community and caring for the world around him – first as a golf course superintendent, then firefighter with Vaughan Fire and Rescue Services from 1997 to his retirement in 2014, and as “Keeper of the Trees” at the McMichael Canadian Art Collection in Kleinburg.

A lifelong athlete and determined spirit, John completed the gruelling 48.5 mile Silhouette Trail in Killarney Provincial Park in only five days at the age of 66. The experience had a profound impact on him. He was an avid reader, a vinyl audiophile, a quick-witted friend and if you needed a helping hand John was always there.  

John was above all a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. His quick laughter and gentle strength are deeply missed by everyone who loved him.
