Family Memories

Warren Hillier

Warren was a charismatic natural-born helper whose vitality emanated through his laughter and quick wit. He was a fiercely loving spouse and heart-fueled father who was always ready to lend a helping hand to friends. He served his country with honour, spending 10 years in the Canadian military before dedicating another decade to protecting his community with the St. Albert Fire Department.

Warren was a passionate advocate for mental health, tirelessly working to support others despite facing his own challenges.  He struggled with mental health and chose to end his battle on his own terms, as he felt there was no way for him to return to the phenomenal man we knew.

Warren’s spirit of service and love will forever be remembered and cherished. To honour Warren’s legacy, let’s continue to ‘default to open’ and continue the conversation about mental health.
