2009 memorial ceremony
was held on September 13, 2009 on Parliament Hill, Ottawa

Special thanks to honorary host Brampton Fire & Emergency Services for doing a tremendous job.
The ceremony paid tribute to the over 970 Canadian firefighters who lost their lives serving Canada since 1848. Special presentations were made to the families of firefighters:
