(Toronto) Sept. 5 - Toronto firefighters are embarking on a cycling fundraiser from Toronto to Ottawa, covering close to 500kms over two days. This ride is in support of the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation (www.CFFF.ca) and is intended to raise awareness and funds for the Canadian Fallen Firefighters memorial. This year’s national memorial takes place at the Ottawa memorial site on Sunday Sept. 10th.
This inaugural ride leaves Toronto on September 7th and finishes in Ottawa on September 8 at the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Memorial site. The goal of the cycling fundraiser is to raise $10000.00 for the Canadian Firefighters Memorial. Location: TFS Fire Station 243 - 4560 Sheppard Ave E.
Time: Media availability- 7am onward.
Cyclists begin the ride at 7:30am sharp.
