2010 Memorial Ceremony

The ceremony paid tribute to the over 1000 Canadian firefighters who lost their lives serving Canada since 1848. Special presentations were made to the families of firefighters:

Immediately after the 2010 ceremony, Calgary firefighters presented Foundation President Robert Kirkpatrick with the proceeds of their fundraising activities in the Centre Block of Parliament Hill. Calgary firefighters raised $3000 from their Memorial Golf Tournament held earlier in the year along with a cheque for $4000 from events held during the ceremony weekend. This included $1500 from the Saturday night event held at the Highlander Pub in By-Ward Market and $2500 from the sale of t-shirts advertising the event. They would like to thank Moosehead beer for assisting them.
